SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— The Southern Maine Community College women's soccer team suffered a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) 4-3 loss to the Rams of Unity College on Saturday, Oct. 8. Prior to the match, SMCC celebrated four members of the team in their last regular season conference game who plan to graduate from their academic program or transfer to another institution following the season. The Rams opened up the scoring in the second-half courtesy of Mariza Goinfriddo. First-year Taylor Currier(Naples, Maine) scored 30 seconds later, breaking away from two Rams' defenders and slotting a ball by the Unity goal keeper. After, it was the Unity offense that turned it on and scored three consecutive goals, the go-ahead goal in the final minute, to secure a 4-3 victory.

SMCC goal keeper Emily Harris (Dayton, Maine) made eight saves on 12 shot attempts.
