Seawolves Hall of Fame Class of 2025
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—Southern Maine Community College Athletics and its Hall of Fame Selection Committee are proud to announce the Class of 2025, honoring three outstanding Seawolves whose athletic excellence and leadership have left a lasting legacy. The Committee has selected Callie O’Brien, Caleb Chambers, and Dylan Silvestri for induction into the Hall of Fame.
Callie O’Brien (Women’s Soccer)
A dominant forward from 2017–19, Callie O’Brien ended her Seawolves career as the program’s all‑time leader in goals (49) and points (105), also adding 7 assists and an impressive 13 game‑winning goals. She earned YSCC All‑Conference honors each season, was a USCAA Honorable Mention All‑American in 2017, and First Team All‑American in both 2018 and 2019. A three‑time YSCC Player of the Week and USCAA Player of the Week, she also maintained academic excellence as a two‑time USCAA Academic All‑American. As co‑captain, she led SMCC to the YSCC Runner‑Up finish and a USCAA National Tournament appearance in 2018, then to a YSCC Championship and another national‑tourney bid in 2019.
Caleb Chambers (Baseball)
A three‑season standout (2015–18), Caleb Chambers boasted a .320 batting average, .405 OBP, and .480 slugging, ranking among the program’s all‑time top ten in hits (82, T‑7th), RBIs (46), and runs (64). He earned YSCC All‑Conference honors twice (2016, 2017), was named YSCC Player of the Year in 2017, and collected the department’s Carrol Rines Sports Person of the Year award in 2018. Chambers captained the 2018 team to a YSCC championship—his third consecutive title—finishing with an overall record of 59‑47‑2 (27‑10‑1 in YSCC play).
Dylan Silvestri (Men’s Basketball)
Competing across three seasons (2015–18), Dylan Silvestri averaged 10.5 points and 7.2 rebounds over 88 games, shooting an efficient 51.2% from the floor. He claimed multiple Player of the Week honors at both the conference and national level, earned Second Team All‑Conference recognition in 2018, and led the USCAA in offensive rebounds (142) that same year. As captain in 2018, he led SMCC to a YSCC championship and a USCAA National Tournament appearance. The Seawolves posted a combined 50‑35 record (31‑12 YSCC) during his tenure. Dylan continues serving his community today as a police officer.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, November 8th, 2025. Additional event details will be shared this fall.
