No Fly Zone: Seawolves Ground Hawks With a Walk-Off Win
SOUTH PORTLAND, MAINE - Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball walked it off in dramatic fashion, defeating York County Community College, 6-5, on Friday afternoon at SMCC.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The game remained scoreless through the first five inning. Michael Pierce worked six strong innings while allowing just one unearned run and striking out six.
York County broke through first in the sixth, taking advantage of a groundout and defensive miscue to grab a 1-0 lead.
The Hawks added pressure late, extending their lead to 3-0 in the top of the eighth.
The Seawolves responded in in the bottom half of the inning, erupting for five runs to flip the game. Quinntin Gillies delivered a key two-run single to tie the game, and Tristan Laplante followed with a clutch two-run double to give the Seawolves a 5-3 advantage.
The Hawks tied the game at 5-5 in the ninth behind an RBI single and a sacrifice fly.
With the game on the line in the bottom of the ninth, Bryce Wilcox reached and advanced to third, setting the stage for Tyler Herkalo, who delivered the walk-off single to center to secure the 6-5 victory.
Out of the bullpen, Jacob Watkinson earned the win, closing out the final three innings.
