Seawolves Drop Game to Mustangs

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Central Maine jumped out early, plating four runs in the opening inning behind a combination of hits, walks, and a costly defensive miscue. The Mustangs added to their lead in the second inning when Jake Calver launched a two-run home run to center field, extending the advantage to 6-0.
SMCC threatened in the third inning, loading the bases with two outs, but could not capitalize as CMCC starter Cam Miller worked out of the jam to keep the Seawolves off the board.
After a few quiet innings, Central Maine broke the game open in the sixth, scoring five runs on just two hits. A two-run double by Cody Cleaveland and a three-run homer off the bat of Caleb Oickle highlighted the inning, pushing the lead to 11-0.
The Seawolves were limited offensively throughout the contest, managing just three hits on the night.
