South Portland, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team received their first conference loss to the Knights of Vermont Technical College (VTC). The Seawolves kept it close with the half time score being 34-40. The Knights out scored the Seawolves 44-37 in the second half to extend their lead. Final score SMCC 71, VTC 84.
Freshman Guard Tyheem Simon (Queens, NY) led the Seawolves in a losing effort with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Emmanuel Donalson (East Orange, NJ) helped out with 10 points including 4-4 from the free throw line.
SMCC moves to 9-3 overall and 5-1 in conference play. They take the floor again this Wednesday, December 5th, at Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) rival Central Maine Community College (CMCC). Game time is scheduled for 8:00PM.
