SMCC To Hold 9th Annual Timothy D. Hagerman Alumni Games

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— Southern Maine Community College Athletics and its basketball programs will hold the 9^th annual Timothy D. Hagerman Memorial Alumni Games inside the HUB Gymnasium on the South Portland campus Saturday, Feb. 8. These games are named in honor of Timothy Hagerman, a beloved teammate of the men’s basketball program from 2005-08. Timothy, a back-to-back conference champion, passed away of cancer in 2011.

Women’s Alumni Game—11:45 a.m.
Men’s Alumni Game—12:30 p.m.

The day continues when the SMCC women’s basketball team plays host to Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at 3 p.m. followed by the men’s game at 5 p.m. All alumni, family, and friends are invited to attend the games and after a reception to celebrate the continued support of the scholarship. The reception will be held at Bayside Bowl (58 Alder St, Portland, ME 04101) beginning at 7:30.

SMCC Athletics asks alumni participants to make a $20 donation for which all proceeds are given to the Timothy D. Hagerman Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a returning men’s basketball player who puts his team before himself and is a positive member of the SMCC community.
