Seawolves Push Past Bobcats to YSCC Semifinals

With the win, the Seawolves improve to 21-6 overall (10-6 YSCC) and advance to the conference semifinals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Ellis Macea (Lawrence, Mass.) opened the scoring with a jumper in the paint, and the Seawolves quickly built an 8-0 lead behind strong ball movement and defensive pressure. Sean Bosia (Dracut, Mass.) added timely buckets, while Nathan Mugisha (Rwanda, East Africa) crashed the glass. Sam DeWitt (Hudson, N.H.) tallied early points to ensure the Seawolves maintain momentum.
Midway through the first half, Paul Smith's briefly trimmed the deficit to one, but SMCC responded with an offensive run of their own. Franck Moron provided a spark off the bench, while DeWitt coordinated the offense. The Seawolves closed the half on a strong note, taking a 46-31 lead into the break while shooting 66.7% from the field.
In the second half, Paul Smith's made pushes behind Yashiro Hurst Jr., but SMCC consistently answered. DeWitt knocked down back-to-back threes and converting in transition to stretch the lead to 20. Danny Luna added second-half buckets during a momentum stretch, while Bosia threw down a dunk following a steal by Chance Mercier (Ellsworth, Maine). SMCC maintained momentum to secure the 86-71 postseason victory.
