CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine— Join us on Monday, August 10, 2020 on the links at Purpoodock Golf Club in Cape Elizabeth, Maine for a fun-filled day of golf. It is the mission of SMCC Athletics to continuously better the student-athlete experience, thus all of the proceeds of this 16th Annual SMCC Athletics Golf Tournament, hosted by the Southern Maine Community College Foundation and the SeaWolves Athletic Club, will help fund the athletic program offerings at SMCC.

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—At the conclusion of the semester, Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Director of Athletics Matt Richards published the findings of the semi-annual Spring 2020 Athletics Engagement and Academic Report. The report shows student-athlete GPAs and retention rates based on United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) normal progress rules for athletic participation eligibility.

SeaWolves Golf Takes Home Third Place At YSCC Championships

PORTSMOUTH, N.H.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf team completed its season at the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) championship tournament at Pease Golf Course on Saturday, Oct. 19. The SeaWolves took home a third place finish with a team score of 384, 45 strokes behind the conference champion Bobcats from Paul Smith’s College (PSC). NHTI finished as runners-up posting a team 341, the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) placed fourth at 465, and the host-school Great Bay Community College (GBCC) was disqualified from team scoring with two few players.

CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf team hosted a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) match at Purpoodock Golf Club on Saturday, Sept. 28—NHTI, the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA), and Great Bay Community College were all in attendance.

In lieu of an in-person presentation, the Athletics staff created a virtual ceremony to announce the department award winners and give recognition to the many outstanding achievements made by its student-athletes in 2019-20.
