Conference Champions: Seawolves Capture 2025 YSCC Title
SANFORD, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College men’s golf team captured the 2025 Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) Championship on Sunday, October 5th, at Sanford Country Club, posting a team score of 309 (+21).

The Seawolves finished eight strokes ahead of runner-up UMaine–Augusta (317), while Central Maine CC (340), Kennebec Valley CC (365), and Paul Smith's College (387) rounded out the top five.
FOR THE SEAWOLVES:
- Drew Goulet led the field, firing an even-par 72 to claim individual medalist honors and headline the All-Tournament Team.
- Will Farschon carded a 75 (+3), finishing 3rd overall and joining Goulet on the All-Tournament Team.
- Chris Keene and Dani Aguado both shot 81 (+9), tying for 8th.
- Tuck Walker rounded out the Seawolves' lineup with an 86 (+14).
The win caps another stellar conference season for SMCC, which saw multiple postseason honors:
- Will Farschon was named the YSCC Golfer of the Year.
- Drew Goulet, Will Farschon, and Matt Quigley earned All-Conference honors.
- Head Coach Scott Nevers was named YSCC Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season.
NEXT UP:
The Seawolves will attend the UNE Invitational at Cape Arundel Golf Club on Wednesday October 8 before shift focus to USCAA competition later this month.
