Double Down: Gorczok’s Brace Pushes Seawolves Past Hawks

HOW IT HAPPENED:
SMCC opened the scoring early when senior forward Louis Sehr (Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire) buried a setup from first-year midfielder Mohamedi Ngido (Waldoboro, Maine) in the 5th minute to make it 1-0.
It remained a one-goal game until just after halftime, when Ibrahim Alzirkani (Portland, Maine) doubled the lead with an unassisted finish in the 50th minute — his third of the season.
First-year forward Luke Gorczok (Orrington, Maine) closed the match with a second-half brace. He struck first in the 70th minute on an assist from Felisberto Mamuisi (Portland, Maine), then again seven minutes later with an unassisted finish to put the match out of reach.
The Seawolves' attack generated 29 total shots, including 20 on target, and their defense held the visiting Hawks to just four shots, all saved by sophomore goalkeeper Ethan Homa (Westbrook, Maine) in his first clean sheet of the season.
BY THE NUMBERS:

- Gorczok recorded his first multi-goal game of the season.
