Women’s Basketball Drops Season Opener to St. Thomas University

The Southern Maine Community College women's basketball team lost their first game of the season to St. Thomas University 84-39 in the CAN-AM tournament hosted by Central Maine Community College.  Freshmen Katelyn Benson (Westbrook, ME) and Marissa Welch (Livermore, ME) led the team in scoring with 12 each. Sophomore point guard Hanna Lyons (Scarborough, ME) pulled down 7 boards and tallied 2 steals on the night.

The Seawolves travel back to Central Maine CC tomorrow to take on Nova Scotia Agriculture College.  Game time is slated for 10:00AM.
