Briarcliffe Delivers Wake Up Call to Seawolves

An 11-game winning streak ended this afternoon as Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) lost to visting Briarcliffe College 61-32. Freshman center Marissa Welch (Livermore, ME) was the leading scorer for the Seawolves with 11 points.  Sophomore point guard Hanna Lyons (Scarborough, ME) led the team with 9 rebounds.

The Seawolves end the first semester 11-2 overall and 8-0 in conference play.  The women will enjoy some time off for the holiday season and return to action January 4^th when they host Rochester College (MI) at 4:00 PM.
