Seawolves Lose to Islanders

The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's basketball team dropped its third straight game this evening to the Islanders of John Abbott College (Montreal) 84-39.  The Islanders had the hot hand shooting 43% from the floor including 46.7% behind the three-point arc. 

SMCC was led by freshman forward Marissa Welch (Livermore, ME) with 9 points and 11 rebounds and sophomore point guard Hanna Lyons (Scarborough, ME) who contributed 9 points, 6 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. 

The Seawolves move to 11-4 overall and remain 8-0 in conference play. The women are in action again on Wednesday, January 11th when they travel to Holyoke Community College for a 4:00 PM non-conference game.
