Women's Basketball Earns Win Over Holyoke Community College

Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) sophomore point guard Hanna Lyons (Scarborough, ME) controlled the floor in the Seawolves' non-conference victory over Holyoke Community College (HCC) 51-39.  Despite HCC's fullcourt pressure, Lyons chipped in 6 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out 4 assists and collected 7 steals. 

In her first game back from injury, freshman guard Emily Bard (Fort Kent, ME) led SMCC's scoring drive with 13 points, all coming in the second half.  Freshman forward Marissa Welch (Livermore, ME) added another double-double to her season with 10 points and 16 rebounds.

The Seawolves improve to 12-4 overall and remain 8-0 in conference play.  The women are in action again on Wednesday, January 18th when they take on conference foe Eastern Maine Community College.  Game time is slated for 6:00 PM.
