South Portland, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's basketball team picked up a big conference win today against the Knights of Vermont Technical College (VTC). It was a tight game throughout, with multiple lead changes and the Seawolves down 23-25 at the half. The Seawolves would out score the Knights in the second half with a final score of 65-61.
SMCC had a team victory as all 13 of the Seawolves scored. Freshman guard Rogetta Donalson(Hyannis, MA) came off the bench to lead the way with 11 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal. Junior captain Esther Palmieri (South Portland,ME) owned the boards leading the Seawolves with 9 rebounds while also chipping in 7 points.
SMCC improves to 8-1 overall and 4-0 in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC). They will travel to play Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) rival Central Maine Community College (CMCC) on Wednesday December 5th. Game is scheduled for 6:00PM.
