Franklin, MA - The offensive transition and intense defense applied by the Lady Bulldogs of Dean College proved too much for the Lady Seawolves as Dean rolled to a 75-56 victory in tonight's basketball action.
The Lady Seawolves entered halftime down 40-23 after twenty minutes of struggling to find offense and having committed 20 turnovers. In the second half the two teams played an even match with only a two point scoring differential in favor of the Lady Bulldogs. SMCC cleaned up the turnover column, committing nine in the second twenty minutes of play. Leading the way offensively for the Lady Seawolves was shooting guard Danielle McCusker (South Portland, ME) who scored 17 points and brought down five rebounds.
With this loss the Lady Seawolves drop to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The Lady Seawolves will return to action on Saturday November 23rd at home against Eastern Maine Community College at 1pm.
