Seawolves Cruise Past Black Sheep
South Portland - This afternoon the Lady Seawolves picked up their fifth conference win, defeating the Black Sheep of Hampshire College, 78-29.

SMCC jumped out to a 27-6 lead after one quarter of play and never looked back. The team's swarming defense forced the Black Sheep into 33 turnovers and converted those turnovers into 41 points.
Seawolves' senior forward, Maria Veino (Sanford, ME) led a balanced offensive attack with a game high 13 points and shooting guard Sammie Griffin (Union, ME) netted 12 on four makes from downtown. Freshman post player Shannon Kriger (Norway, ME) added a career high 10 points and eight rebounds.
Hampshire's Adelle Pitsas paced her team with 11 points and seven rebounds.
The Seawolves (10-2, 5-1 YSCC) will enjoy a little downtime, not playing again until next Saturday December 12th on the road against Berkeley (NY) at 4:30pm.
