Road Trip: Seawolves Top Knights in YSCC Win
RANDOLPH, Vt. – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s soccer team earned its first conference win of the season with a dominant 6-0 shutout over Vermont State University Randolph on Saturday afternoon, improving to 3-2 overall and 1-2 in YSCC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
It didn't take long for the Seawolves to take control, with Rylie Wright (North Waterboro, Maine) scoring just 2:36 into the game. Less than five minutes later, Isabella Tanis (Bangor, Maine) doubled the lead off an assist from Annabelle Fournier (Saco, Maine).
Wright struck again in the 13th minute, and Addie Fiandaca (Springvale, Maine) added a fourth in the 29th minute with help from Tiana Salazar (Windham, Maine).
SMCC tacked on two more before halftime—Alyssa Rodriguez scored off a feed from Ellie Schlichting (New Gloucester, Maine), and then Jocelyn Civiello (Sanford, Maine) finished off the scoring in the 40th minute, also assisted by Schlichting.
Aubrey Gilbert (Farmingdale, Maine) earned the clean sheet in goal, facing one shot.
NEXT UP:
SMCC will host Word of Life on Saturday, September 27 at the Wainwright Sports Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 AM.
