South Portland - This afternoon the Seawolves finished up regular season play with an overtime 63-57 win over the Rams of the Naval Prepatory Academy. This win marks the Lady Seawolves twenty-second, the most wins in a regular season in program history.
South Portland - This afternoon the Lady Seawolves recognized eight young ladies during senior day when the Seawolves faced off against YSCC opponent Vermont Technical College (VTC). The Seawolves used a balanced offensive attackand contributions from all players to propel themselves past the Knights, 92-28.
Auburn - Tonight the Lady Seawolves traveled to CMCC in hopes of avenging the 68-38 loss the Mustangs handed the Seawolves in December. SMCC trailed by a handful of points nearly the entire game and were facing their largest deficit, 48-38, with seven and a half minutes remaining when an Abigail Nielsen (North Yarmouth, ME) jump shot spurred a 11-0 run to put SM up one with three minutes to go. The Seawolves outscored the Mustangs 9-5 in the closing minutes to walk away with the 58-53 conference victory.
Machias - This afternoon Seawolves point guard Jordan Turner (Casco, ME) scored the first eight points of the game to give SMCC an 8-2 lead over UMaine-Machias. The Seawolves proceeded to outscore the Clippers 23-5 in the first quarter as they cruised to a 77-47 victory.
Concord, NH - Sophomore point guard Jordan Turner (Casco, ME) chalked up her first collegiate double double with 11 points and 10 rebounds to help lead the Lady Seawolves to an 83-58 over the Lynx of NHTI.
South Portland - In last night's YSCC women's basketball action the balanced scoring attack of UMA was too much for SMCC as the Moose prevailed 65-52.
South Portland - Lady Seawolves senior center Alicia Hoyt (Steep Falls, ME) scored a game high 19 points and grabbed nine boards to lead SMCC to an 89-51 victory over the University of Maine-Presque Isle (UMPI) yesterday afternoon.
Rutland, VT - This afternoon the Lady Seawolves traveled to Vermont to face the Saints of the College of St. Joseph's. Today's matchup was a rematch of last season's YSCC championship game in which the Lady Saints prevailed 72-67. Today was another hard fought battle for forty minutes but once again the Saints came out on top, 60-56.
South Portland - Trailing nine at the half, the Lady Seawolves used a 35 point third quarter effort to overcome the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI), 71-61.
South Portland - This evening the Mustangs caught the Lady Seawolves on an ice cold shooting night and managed to walk away with the commanding 68-38 conference victory.
New York, NY - Despite a tough shooting night, the Lady Seawolves were able to pick up the 68-56 victory over the Lady Knights of Berkeley College (NY).
South Portland - This afternoon the Lady Seawolves picked up their fifth conference win, defeating the Black Sheep of Hampshire College, 78-29.
South Portland - This afternoon the Lady Seawolves used eleven players on offense to help pick up the 70-34 conference victory against the Clippers of UMaine-Machias.
South Portland - Freshman point guard Destinie Montano (Chicopee, MA) netted a career high 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out four assists and had three steals to lead the Seawolves to a 68-54 victory over the Lynx of NHTI.
