SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—At the conclusion of the semester, Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Interim Director of Athletics Ethan Wells published the findings of the semi-annual Fall 2025 Athletics Engagement and Academic Report. The report shows student-athlete GPAs and retention rates based on United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) normal progress rules for athletic participation eligibility—a higher threshold than those standards of the College.

Women's Golf travels to USCAA national championship

STATE COLLEGE, Penn.— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's golf team placed fourth at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship event, carding a total score of 628 over two rounds. The tournament, held at the prestigious Penn State Blue Course, featured top teams from across the nation, and SMCC proved its place among those programs on both the men's and women's circuits.

Women’s Golf breaks through at UNE Invitational

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine— In an exciting women’s golf matchup, the Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Seawolves claimed their first tournament victory of the season, narrowly defeating the University of New England (UNE) with a total score of 283 to 289.

CUMBERLAND, Maine— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s golf team emerged victorious at Val Halla on Wednesday, Sept. 25, outlasting a competitive field of teams from the University of New England (UNE), the University of Southern Maine (USM), Saint Joseph’s College (SJC), and Husson University.
